They reveal historical and contextual information of the European religious imaginary of the time and its cosmovision in relation to the inhabitants of the new world. Based on reports from Catholic and Protestant clerics in print and also using bibliographical works by expressive authors pertinent to this theme, this research will seek to contextualize, analyze and understand the phenomena that emerged from this "encounter", and the cultural dynamics that influenced the reformulation of the practice and thought of both Jesuits and indigenous people. This choice is justified by the historical relevance of the cultural, anthropological and mystical aspects of the theme.
