Dissertação (Mestrado em Gestão Pública e Sociedade) - Universidade Federal de Alfenas, Varginha, MG.https://repositorio.unifal-mg.edu.br/handle/123456789/674The National Program of Humanization of Hospital Care started its actions in hospitals in 2000, aiming to create committees of humanization focusing the improvement of the quality of care to the users and later to the workers. With the intent to correct weaknesses presented by PNHAH, was enacted in 2003, the National Humanization Policy. The research has the objective to analyze the National Humanization Policy (2003) from the perspective of mothers, babies escort UTI's admitted to Neonatal, and identify what are the humanizing and dehumanizing factors that contribute to mitigate or aggravate the suffering. To achieve the objectives of this study were interviewed six mothers who had children admitted to UTIN and two nurses with experience in the field. All interviews were undirected, using the methodology oral history of life. Data were analyzed using content analysis method proposed by Bardin (2011). To perform the content analysis, the following categories and sub-categories were used: humanizing factors ("individual assistance", "welcome" and "respect the rights of children") and dehumanizing factors ("hostility", "non-host" "disregard the rights of children" and "lack of structure"). In most reports concerning humanizing factors mothers mentioned situations where the team provided a personalized service, and not purely technical, to babies admitted to the NICU. In relation to the dehumanizing factors, most reported cases regarding the lack of hospital physical structure and disrespect for the rights of the child, recommended by the ECA (1990).application/pdfAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Política Nacional de Humanização.
