Objective with this study describe the morbidity profile of teachers of a higher education institution. This is a descriptive study, quantitative, documentary and cross. They used medical records of 494 teachers. It analyzed the profile of morbidity according to the International Classification of Diseases by means of descriptive statistics. They found to male teachers (53%), aged 30-39 years (47%), married (56%) and doctors (80%). The morbidity profile was raised through prevalent diagnoses in the 20-year period (1996-2015). The study demonstrates the removal of causes of 237 teachers (47.97%). Noteworthy are the chapters by: 20.49%, family support and convalescence, respectively with 7.60% ratings: respiratory diseases, digestive diseases and genitourinary diseases.
