Dissertação (Mestrado em História Ibérica) - Universidade Federal de Alfenas, Alfenas, MG, 2022.https://repositorio.unifal-mg.edu.br/handle/123456789/1975Tupi Anthropophagy was unveiled by the European discoverer when the conquest of America, a time of turmoil in the "Old World", mainly in relation to the religious conflicts caused by the Protestant Reformation, this research consists of in understanding the characteristics that make up the religious imagination of that society; how in the face of the Amerindian custom of eating human meat they behaved and to what extent the religious problems faced in European territory influenced the perception of Tupi Antropofagia. This allows us to understand the reason for the impact caused by anthropophagy and understand what assumptions exist in the imagination of Europeans that moved them to undertake colonization in that way and not in another way, as well as promoting a new look at the one who is horrified. The research will focus on the 16th century narratives of the traveling chroniclers Gandavo, Hans Staden, Jean de Léry and André Thevet as sources and on the historiography produced based on Mircea Eliade's understanding of the religious imagination. Finally, the main objective is to produce an object of study to bring to Elementary and High School students the knowledge discovered through this research with the help of information and communication technologies.application/pdfAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Antropofagia TupiImaginário ReligiosoEuropa ModernaCIENCIAS HUMANAS::HISTORIAO impacto da antropofagia tupi para o imaginário religioso europeuDissertaçãoSiepierski, Carlos Tadeu
