Our purpose is to understand how young people construct and appropriate notions about differences and what this implies in constructing prejudices as they socialize. We understand difference as a dialectical concept, that sometimes as something inherent in human beings and therefore important to be naturalized in a more individual context; and sometimes as a notion that needs to be problematized in together with social movements. We also consider the concept of socialization. Socialization is our way of appropriating, promoting, relating, exchanging and identifying with our culture in history. Given this, we weave the concept of prejudice and how it is built under the psychic and social bias. According to some studies presented in this dissertation, prejudice is a type of representation that recurs in the school context and, for this reason, we aim to understand this construction in young subjectivity. As a method, to guide our research, we start from a bibliographic study, from the open interview, and from the conversation circle as instruments for the apprehension of the subjective meanings that young people build under the influence of prejudice. Our observations reveal elements that favor the construction of prejudices within the classroom, based, mainly, on the rules established by the school and by the teachers. These influences have a strong bearing on how young people think, act, and react to prejudice.
