Efeitos da Kinesio Taping nos sinais e sintomas da insuficiência venosa crônica em membros inferiores de mulheres: ensaio clínico controlado e randomizado. 2018. 64 f. Dissertação (Mestrado em Ciências da Reabilitação) - Universidade Federal de Alfenas, Alfenas, MG, 2018.https://repositorio.unifal-mg.edu.br/handle/123456789/1319Introduction: There are a large number of people affected by chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), especially affecting the lower limbs and whose main complaint is the presence of symptoms of discomfort in the lower limbs. Kinesio Taping is an elastic bandage that acts on the venous system and can contribute to the improvement of the symptoms of CVI. Objective: To evaluate the effect of Kinesio Taping on signs and symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency in the lower limbs of women. Materials and Methods: A randomized, controlled and simple-blind clinical trial developed at the Physiotherapy Clinic of the Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG) in women with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), with clinical classification of 2 to 5 by CEAP ((Clinical manifestation, Etiologic factors, Anatomic distribuition of disease, Pathophysiologic findings). The participants were randomized into two groups: intervention group (GI, n=16) who received application of Kinesio Taping and an explanatory material with metabolic exercises to be performed at home and control group (CG, n=16) that only received explanatory material. The treatment was performed three times a week, on intercalary days, until totaling 10 sessions. As evaluation criteria, lower limb circumference (LVM), LVM volumetry, presence of symptoms related to vascular disease, thermographic analysis to verify superficial skin temperature and bioimpedance of lower limbs were performed for muscle, fat and water percentage. The evaluation was performed one day before the start of treatment and one day after the end of treatment. The T-Test was used for intra-group analysis and ANCOVA for the inter-group analysis, with significance level of p <0.05. Result: The sample consisted of women, in the majority with CEAP classified as class 2 (77.4%). There was significant reduction for GI in the symptoms of sensation of weight, pain, hardness, pain, discomfort, heat, volume, tingling, weakness, numbness and cramps before and after treatment with Kinesio Taping. There was also reduction for circumference reduction for foot circumference R and L and LVM L, volumetry, temperature and water percentage in the GI. When the intergroup analysis was performed, the symptoms of weight, discomfort, heat, volume, tingling, numbness and cramps, cutaneous temperature and foot circumference were significantly reduced in GI in reevaluation compared to CG. Conclusion: The application of Kinesio Taping had a positive effect on the reduction of symptoms caused by IVC, as well as positive results on the improvement of skin temperature and foot circumference.application/pdfAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Insuficiência VenosaExtremidade InferiorFisioterapiaFita AtléticaReabilitaçãoCIENCIAS DA SAUDE::FISIOTERAPIA E TERAPIA OCUPACIONALEfeitos da Kinesio Taping nos sinais e sintomas da insuficiência venosa crônica em membros inferiores de mulheres: ensaio clínico controlado e randomizadoDissertaçãoMarino, Ligia De Sousa
