The triazol fungicides represent one of pesticide classes mostly employed in agriculture of fruits, vegetables and grains, due to their excellent protective, eradicating and curative power against a broad spectrum of agricultural diseases. However, their ability to change steroid hormone biosynthesis may result in endocrine complications for mammals, as well as changes in cholesterol and triglyceride levels and hepatotoxicity, making necessary the development of analytical techniques for the extraction and pre-concentration of these pesticides on water resources and food. Among the analysis of environmental samples techniques highlight the disk solid phase extraction which allows the use of high sample volume and high pre-concentration power. Still on sample preparation carbon nanotubes (CNT) has been often used as solid extraction phase due to its high sorption capacity, high surface area, high internal volume and mechanical, chemical and thermal strength. Thus, this project proposed for the first time the use of extraction membrane impregnated with CNT for the extraction of organic toxicants in environmental samples.
