In this context, the Nursing Process and the International Classification for Nursing Practice (ICNP®) can be used in Virtual Learning Environments (VLE) as effective tools. The objective of this study was to understand the perception of nursing professionals about the training on the Nursing Process and its stages, as well as on ICNP®, using the virtual learning environment. This is a qualitative research conducted from October to December 2023, with the participation of 18 primary health care nurses. A course was developed through the Moodle Platform, with distance tutoring. For the planning, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of the course, including the production of technological and media resources for the VLE, the ADDIE model was used. Google Forms was used and applied for participant evaluation, with the link made available in the Google Meet chat. For qualitative data analysis, Bardin’s method was used. All ethical aspects were respected, in accordance with Resolution No. 466/2012. The majority of participants (88.9%) were female, aged between 29 and 53 years, with an average age of 40 years. Of the total, 94.4% were municipal public servants and had not participated in any update course using the Moodle Platform. The analysis of the responses revealed five analytical categories: 1) Applicability of the Nursing Process in clinical practice; 2) Learning about the use of the NP and ICNP® stages for professional practice; 3) Facilities found when using ICNP® in clinical cases; 4) Difficulties encountered when using ICNP® in clinical cases; 5) Participation in an update course in a Virtual Learning Environment about ICNP®. The nurses understood the importance of the nursing process in clinical practice; however, many were not familiar with ICNP® as a useful tool in this process. They recognized that ICNP® is easy to use and has a wide range of terms, which facilitates continuity of care and the standardization of nursing language.
