Brazil presents as one of the most violent transits when analyzing the number of dead. This research was elaborated through the interaction of two articles. The first aimed to map and characterize the scientific production on traffic accidents in the country, using the bibliometric review of the last twenty years in the Web of Science database. Two hundred and eight open and published scientific articles were found and analyzed. There is a predominance of articles that made diagnoses of accidents, researching the mortality rate, severity, trend, georeferencing, risks or factors associated with accidents or their causes. Fifty articles refer to motorcycles, the most studied group of traffic actors. Cadernos de Saúde Pública was the journal with the most publications on the subject. For the researcher with more publications on the subject, 13 articles were found. The most studied states were São Paulo and Paraná. The capitals São Paulo and Belo Horizonte stand out as the most delimited municipalities as an object of study. The limitation of the first article is the possibility of finding different results if articles from other databases are analyzed. The second article of this study aimed to evaluate the power of influence of the variables number of cars, number of motorcycles, number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 and number of deaths from COVID-19 in Varginha/MG during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic on the number of motorcycle accident victims. For this, the multiple linear regression method was used to relate the variables. The comparative analysis between pre-pandemic and pandemic periods shows a 23% increase in the number of RTA victims involving motorcycles (33%) during the pandemic. The fleet of cars and motorcycles grew, but in the model it was not possible to correlate with the number of victims due to the p-value of these variables. The limitations of the second article are the underreporting in the activation of public agencies to attend accidents and cases of COVID-19.application/pdfAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Acidente de trânsitoBibliometriaMotocicletaPandemiaVarginhaTraffic accidentBibliometricsMotorcyclesPandemicCIENCIA POLITICA::POLITICAS PUBLICASADMINISTRACAO::ADMINISTRACAO PUBLICAAcidentes de trânsito com motocicletas: bibliometria e estudo durante a pandemia da COVID-19 em Varginha/MGDissertaçãoPessanha, Gabriel Rodrigo Gomes
