Objective: To evaluate the effects of electroacupuncture with frequencies of 2/100Hz associated with Nogier frequency for pain intensity, heart rate variability (HRV) and for quality of life in the treatment of FS. Methodology: Randomized clinical trial. 18 volunteers were randomized into CG (n=9) and EG (n=9). Six sessions were held. The instruments used for evaluation were: fibromyalgia diagnostic criteria (ACR10), numerical rating scale (EAN), the fibromyalgia impact questionnaire (FIQ) and heart rate variability (HRV). The Shapiro Wilk test was used to verify normality. The independent t test was applied to compare anthropometric data. The difference between post-intervention and pre-intervention (difference by delta) of the variables fibromyalgia diagnosis criteria (IDG and ESS), FIQ, EAN and VFC was used. For the EAN variable, the Mann Whitney test was used and the FIQ, IDG and ESS were used with the independent t test. Results: Electroacupuncture had positive effects on HRV. Regarding EAN, FIQ questionnaire and fibromyalgia diagnosis criteria, these variables remained unchanged. Conclusion: The electroacupuncture of 2/100Hz associated with Nogier frequency influenced some HRV variables and, as well as quality of life, did not generate response in pain intensity or fibromyalgia diagnosis criteriaapplication/pdfAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/FibromialgiaEletroacupunturaAcupunturaReabilitaçãoCIENCIAS DA SAUDEEfeito da eletroacupuntura com frequência de 2/100 Hz associado a frequência de nogier para intensidade da dor, qualidade de vida e na variabilidade da frequência cardíaca na síndrome fibromiálgica: ensaio clínico randomizadoDissertaçãoSantos, Adriana Teresa Silva
