The compounds were synthesized under inert atmosphere and under anhydrous conditions by means of an argon gas drying system being further characterized by the techniques: elemental analysis (CHN), thermogravimetric analysis (TG), molar conductivity, absorption spectroscopy in the infrared region (IR), absorption spectroscopy in the region of ultravioletand visible (UV-vis), X-ray diffraction for monocrystal (MXRD), X-ray diffraction for polycristal (PXRD), cyclic voltammetry (CV) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) carbon, hydrogen and phosphorus. In a second step, the synthesized compounds were subjected to biological tests in order to assess the cytotoxic activity against glioblastoma cell line (U251MG), and obtained results shown cytostatic effects of cimetidine complex when compared with free ligand.
