The Continuing Education is a way to share knowledge with the multidisciplinary team making the active subject in professional teaching / learning process and allowing an increase in the quality of care to users of the health service. It is a descriptive case study and documentary with a quantitative approach, with the overall objective to see how the participation of the Hospital Accreditation process impacts the actions of Continuing Education. The setting was a private hospital in the South of Minas Gerais Accredited level 1 in 2013. participated in this study 7 nurses, 33 nursing technicians and one nursing assistant. The collection of documentary data was conducted after approval by the Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Alfenas (Process nº 38738214.3.0000.5142). As instruments of reserch were used semi-structured questionnaires and systematic routes gathering documentary evidence. The results showed that the accreditation process interfered with permanent educations and trainings to increase the total amount, covering all health staff as trainers and receivers of these actions, including pertinent issues as requirements of National Accreditation Organization. Most of the nursing staff is knowledgeable about the accreditation process, with nurses most relevant actors.
