Once that, mobilizing the theory with its concepts and categories, it drives us to social practice and lived space. What is behind the construction of a “Conjunto Habitacional” (COHAB), located at the town of Alfenas/MG, that in the dimension of representation, became a neighborhood? In the endeavor of elaborating possible interpretations, we resort to the theory of production of space. In the sense of mobilizing the theory, the space and everyday life were worked as categories. The triads, concepted space (the representations of space), perceived space (spatial practices) and lived space (the spaces of representation); hierarchy, fragmentation and homogenization, were essential to the approximation to the everyday life. The author Henri Lefebvre, therefore, became essential to the research, in its theorical- methodological formulation, in search of reaching the life of the Pinheirinho neighborhood. The general objective of this work is to comprehend the production of space in the context of the Pinheirinho neighborhood. Everyday life is a place of production and reproduction. In the space of markets and exchange is the space of life (the value of use) and the space of reproduction (the value of exchange). The subjects and urban agents appropriate and produce space. The triad: property, appropriation and production, permits us to access other Lefebvre’s triads. Everyday life finds its spatiality in the place. During the research it was possible to clarify that the process of the approach won’t follow a formal logic. By accepting this logic, we can advance in search of overcoming it. With that, we arrive at the term of “interpretation” and “capitation” of everyday life. For the elaboration of possible interpretations of the production of space in the neighbor of Pinheiro, we made the use of interviews, photographies, field researches and of sounds associated to rhythmanalysis, being this a science of representation of these sounds.
