The missionary activity of the Society of Jesus among the politics of the Spanish Crown dictated new dynamics to Colonial Brazil. Since the government of the Portuguese Crown, missionaries and governors-general made proposes to initiate the social ordering in Brazil. In this sense, it is understood the Jesuit action with the settlers for the enthronement of the Habsburg House in Brazil. The Society of Jesus had specific experiences for effective implementations of policies of interest to the Spanish monarch. Based on the letters, theatrical plays and Jesuitical normative documents we comprehend the Society of Jesus joined the political forces for expansion missions and territorial pacification. In addition, it played the job of instigating the Catholic moralization and maintenance of the subjects of Philip II. The religious and political actions undertaken were necessary measures to maintain the colonization during the House of Habsburg government in Colonial Brazil.
