Dissertação (Mestrado em Enfermagem) - Universidade Federal de Alfenas, Alfenas, MG, 2020.https://repositorio.unifal-mg.edu.br/handle/123456789/1557Given the magnitude of violence against women and its many repercussions on the health of women and their families, it is essential that nurses understand the entire dynamics of violence, in order to efficiently meet the cases, qualifying the service and helping to reduce it. invisibility of the phenomenon. This study aims to understand how nurses identify violence against women in Primary Health Care (PHC) and describe the nursing care provided to women who suffer violence. The present investigation was a descriptive, exploratory and qualitative study. Data collection was carried out between August 2018 and February 2019, with ten nurses working in PHC in a municipality in the south of Minas Gerais, through a semi-structured interview conducted by the researcher. For data analysis, content analysis was used. Three categories were identified, the first: Nurses' perception of violence against women, with a subcategory Recognition, family situation and substance use. The second category: Nursing care for women who suffer violence: from the real to the ideal, with three subcategories: Silence of the victim; Reception and Forwarding; and, Role of the Community Health Agent. And the third category: Training, with two subcategories Training for women; and, Professional training for the recognition of violence. The nurse's perception of violence against women occurs due to the recognition of this violence, the victim's family situation and the use of substances by the aggressor. Nursing care starts with the Reception, however, ends with the referral of the victim. Nurses experience the Victim's Silence, and attest that the Community Agent is fundamental in monitoring and even assuming violence. The experience of nurses in violence reveals a need for training, for women victims and for professionals to recognize this violence. Violence against women remains within an invisible scenario, hidden from society and care. Even with so many technological advances, it is still not possible to provide qualified assistance to women seeking care in PHC. This observation leads us to the reflection that there is still a very long way for women who are victims of violence to receive effective care in the Care Networks.application/pdfinfo:eu-repo/semantics/embargoedAccesshttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Violência contra a MulherAtenção Primária à SaúdeEnfermagemCIENCIAS DA SAUDE::ENFERMAGEM“Não adianta pedido de perdão, não adianta nada!
