The main consequence of maintaining this invariance even at the local level is: gauge potentials don't admit terms of mass in their Lagrangians. In this master's work, we intend to study the possibility of Utiyama's formalism being extended to include massive A_μ^a gauge potentials, maintaining the local gauge invariance with the help of a field additional a la Stueckelberg. Thus, we will be guided by the Stueckelberg theory, a mechanism that introduces a massive scalar field B for the case of the group U(1) (RUEGG; RUIZ-ALTABA, 2004) and a massive vector field ω_μ for the case of the group SU(2), whose transformation law (group U(1)) carries the mass parameter m; this mass is then transferred to A_μ.application/pdfAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Física.Campos de calibre (Física).Campos vetoriais.FISICA DAS PARTICULAS ELEMENTARES E CAMPOS::TEORIA GERAL DE PARTICULAS E CAMPOSStueckelberg a la UtiyamaStueckelberg to the UtiyamaDissertaçãoCuzinatto, Rodrigo Rocha
