The Afro-Brazilian cultural manifestation, in the present time printed in the folguedo of the congadas, when entering the school space through the culture impregnated in the bodies and the subjectivities of the students, proposes a situational investigation, an instrumental case study of the occupation by the popular knowledge of school space. In order to do so, the object of research is the training course of a Congo Suit and a Bumba-mi-boi within the school space by the classes of the School Project of Integral Time. It brings, as a background, the Iracema Rodrigues State School of the city of Machado-MG. The educational project developed at the school made it possible to analyze the relevant impact of this very rich cultural framework when it occupied the school space: it added knowledge and generated impacts in the school curriculum, innovated the educational practice and recreated in the subjects attending the school space the feelings of appreciation of its culture afrodescendant, the feelings of belonging to that school space and also motivation to attend more, and in a more significant way for these subjects, the space of the school.
