Dissertação (Mestrado em Educação) - Universidade Federal de Alfenas, Alfenas, MG, 2019.https://repositorio.unifal-mg.edu.br/handle/123456789/1368The use of authoring system, such as Scratch, in teaching / learning processes has been shown as an efficient method to optimize the construction of knowledge, including in the area of language, such as in the construction of digital narratives (NDs). In this context, the extension project called "Thinking in Codes" from the Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG), supported this research, based on Vygotsky's Historical-Cultural Theory. According to this theory, the human constitution takes place in the relation with the other, being the school one of the social means that allows the development of the superior psychic functions, process whose result can potentiate the literary creation. We aim to understand the use of Scratch as pedagogical / didactic innovation in the construction of NDs with themes that approximate the reality of the students, under the watchful eyethe development of creativity. Through a participant research, we followed a qualitative-quantitative approach with a questionnaire, semi-structured observation, research journal and data from initial and final version of the NDs produced in Scratch. We carried out field actions in two moments, a pilot study (G-1) and final project (G-2), together with the students of the final scholar years of elementary education II of a public school in the south of Minas Gerais. In order to verify the quantitative differences between the versions of the NDs, we use the Mann Whitney statistical test and, to visualize the questionnaire data we use the Box-Plot graph. We highlight in the results the difference in NDs, improvement in computational thinking and an expressive indices of writing creativity between the initial and final version.
