Dissertação (Mestrado em Enfermagem) - Universidade Federal de Alfenas, Alfenas, MG, 2024.https://repositorio.unifal-mg.edu.br/handle/123456789/2840Regarding the managerial role, the division between care management and unit management is considered merely didactic, since in practice both ought to be interconnected and complementary. This study aims to analyze the managerial role of nurses in the Family Health Strategy and its impact on care. It is a descriptive, qualitative methodological approach in the light of dialectical hermeneutics. It was carried out with eleven nurses from the Family Health Strategy, selected using the Snowball sampling technique, developed in a virtual environment using the Google Meet Platform, through a single interview per participant in April and May 2024. A study approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Alfenas, Substantiated opinion n.6.701.230/2024. For data collection, a questionnaire prepared by the authors was used in order to characterize both the personal and professional background of the participants through the following guiding inquiry - Talk about your experience in the performance of managerial and care functions in the Family Health Strategy. Descriptive analysis was used for personal and professional characterization, and content analysis was used to organize the qualitative data, using the theoretical methodological framework of dialectical hermeneutics. A predominance of 82% of the participants were female, married/common-law married and 73% were aged between 30y and 40y. The majority (82%) had a postgraduate degree. Professional experience ranged from five to twenty years, making up for 100% of the participants. Eventually for the management role, 55% had been working for between 10 and 20 years. All the interviewees (100%) worked in municipalities located in southern Minas Gerais. Three categories and two subcategories were identified. Regarding the Integration of management and care: being a manager versus nursing management, the testimonies of the interviewees showed a disconnection between the exercise of care and service management. In Overlapping bureaucratic activities: a challenge in nursing management and the impact on care, they revealed that in their daily practice they experienced an overload of activities and deviation from their duties as well as powerlessness in the face of the simultaneity between managing and providing care. With regard to the Multiprofessional Team: the challenge of interdisciplinarity in the Family Health Strategy, it could be concluded that it falls short of the recommended guidelines. The conclusion is that continuing education is urgently needed. The absence of a unit manager is evident in most municipalities, with nurses taking on such role. It is emphasized that the continuous chain of bureaucratic activities has led to both work overload and deviation from proper functions, resulting in feelings of dissatisfaction, frustration and impotence, which reflect on the health of nurses and the resolubility of the service. And in relation to the multi-professional team, it still presents challenges for inter-professionality, with a view to collaborative practice in order to achieve the completeness of care as well as its quality.application/pdfAcesso AbertoGerenciamentoEnfermeirosAssistência ao pacienteCentros de saúdeCIENCIAS DA SAUDE::ENFERMAGEMFunção gerencial do enfermeiro na Estratégia Saúde da Família e seu impacto na assistênciaDissertaçãoResck, Zélia Marilda Rodrigues
