The main objective is to understand how the interactions occur in the process of territorialization and vulnerability of these people in public and private spaces. The research is divided into three parts, the first brings a brief contextualization on the issue of sexuality and the LGBTQIA+ population in geographic studies, then the theoretical part deals with territory, territoriality and bodies in geography, and finally, the empirical research with secondary data to contextualize the LGBTQIA+ population and the medium-sized cities in the south of Minas Gerais and the qualitative research with, aiming to analyze and understand the territoriality of the LGBTQIA+ population of the two municipalities. The territorialities were grouped into maps of reception and fear/insecurity. In Alfenas, the host territories that were mentioned are UNIFAL, some squares and some bars and university parties. The territorialities of fear/insecurity that have been mentioned are avenues, squares, according to the temporality of space, that is, day or night. In Pouso Alegre, what was collected by the interviews is that some bars, nightclubs, squares and avenues end up being welcoming spaces, also varying according to temporality. These same places also become spaces of fear/insecurity.
