Dissertação (Mestrado em Enfermagem) - Universidade Federal de Alfenas, Alfenas, MG, 2015.https://repositorio.unifal-mg.edu.br/handle/123456789/773This study had as main objectives to know the epidemiological characteristics of accidents with poisonous animals in the state of Minas Gerais between the years 2007 and 2013, verify their relation with the environmental characteristics and discuss the current use of health information systems. Treatment is a quantitative, descriptive, ecological and time series. Secondary data, from the animals by accident investigation forms venomous between 2007 and 2013 in the municipalities of Minas Gerais, which were accessed through the System for Notifiable Diseases Information (SINAN) by sending performed by the Secretariat State Health. In this period were reported on 153,440 accidents with poisonous animals, which occurred predominantly in males, Caucasians, aged between 20 and 34 years living in the urban area and having incomplete primary education. In the case of accidents, the scorpions were responsible for most of these and the most affected site was the hand, and the individual to wait 1 hour for it to be carried out the service, which occurred primarily in the countryside, and the local manifestations occurred more frequently and local and systemic complications occurred in a few cases. There was a predominance of accidents with mild severity and progression to healing. Few municipalities presented statistical correlation between the expansion of planting cane sugar and accidents with poisonous animals, with some showing correlations directly and inversely proportional, preventing the conclusion that planting interfere in the occurrence of accidents. The correct use of SIS, in the routine of nurses who perform management positions or management of health services, was shown to be essential for there to be real knowledge of the health conditions of the population and that the decisions result in effective and resolving actions to improving the living conditions of the population. It is important to occur an awareness on the part of professionals, on the importance of correct filling in the forms of reporting / investigation SINAN, and also by the population, so there is a partnership in preventing such accidents. With data being obtained correctly the information generated will have more quality and actions will be more efficient and effective.application/pdfAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/EpidemiologiaAnimais VenenososSistemas de Informação em SaúdeEnfermagemCIENCIAS DA SAUDE::ENFERMAGEMEpidemiologia dos acidentes com animais peçonhentos no estado de Minas GeraisDissertaçãoMartinez, Maria Regina
