Dissertação (Mestrado em Educação) - Universidade Federal de Alfenas, Alfenas, MG, 2024.https://repositorio.unifal-mg.edu.br/handle/123456789/2770The objective of this study was to evaluate the emotional characteristics of six undergraduate students from the 5th period of the Physics Degree course at the Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG) during a preparation class for teaching, in a dialogued expository format, conducted by the students themselves. , under the supervision of the teacher responsible for the subject. To this end, the research was conducted by recording all class events and capturing biometric data using an oximeter, in order to identify possible changes in the students' heart rate. The study involved the analysis of six cases, two of which presented different results, characterizing different sets of emotional reactions. A qualitativequantitative analysis of an exploratory and case study nature was adopted. The study allowed a more detailed interpretation of teaching experiences and contributed to the understanding of emotional reactions in the classroom. The research revealed valuable information about the emotional context of Physics graduates during their first preparation class for teaching. Understanding emotions is a comprehensive process, requiring careful analysis and consideration of many aspects. The research highlights the importance of recognizing emotional dimensions in teacher training and offers support for the development of pedagogical approaches and emotional support programs.
