Preparing for retirement is an important cause that aims to guide and prepare the server for the new post-retirement life, contributing in a psychological, legal and financial way. Although retirement preparation programs started in the 1950s in the United States, in Brazil they are still less widespread. Specifically, the Federal University of Alfenas began in 2017 and, as any public policy, in addition to study and implementation, should be monitored and analyzed in order to verify if the proposed objectives are being achieved and, if they are not, if there are possibilities of improvements. Therefore, the objective of the study was to analyze if the program of preparation for retirement of UNIFAL-MG achieves its objectives, using as a data collection technique a structured questionnaire applied to the participating servers and managers of the program modules. After analyzing the results, it was found that the program could be improved, especially with regard to the disclosure and awareness of UNIFAL-MG employees.
