Dissertação (Mestrado em Ciências da Reabilitação) - Universidade Federal de Alfenas, Alfenas, MG, 2018.https://repositorio.unifal-mg.edu.br/handle/123456789/1614The Kinesiotaping (KT) is a bandage technique developed in the 70's. The studies’ results about the KT use show inconsistent and controversial results with each other. Thus, it is necessary more researches that seek to consolidate the real effects of KT. The present study aimed to evaluate the influence of the tension and color of the KT applied on the rectus femoris muscle in healthy individuals before, during and after the practice of physical exercise and compare the effects of it to the effects of rigid bandage application. This study is a randomized and controlled clinical trial in realization at the Physiotherapy Clinic of the Federal University of Alfenas. The sample was composed of 60 healthy male volunteers aged between 18 and 35 years. These volunteers were divided by randomization in 6 groups, each one representing a color of KT that was studied (yellow, blue, beige, black, pink and green). Two evaluations were carried out on different days, with the first tension applied to the bandage of 15% and the second of 50%. In these evaluations, electromyographic data were collected in four moments, being E1, before the KT application; E2, immediately after KT application; E3, after the physical activity and E4, after 5 minutes of rest. The thermographic data were obtained in five moments: E1, before the KT application; E2, immediately after KT application; E3, during physical activity; E4, after physical activity and E5, after 5 minutes of rest. It was not observed, in the electromyography variable, statistical difference between the tension of 15% and 50%, between the bandages evaluated and between the colors that were studied. The results of the thermography were significant in relation to tensions 15 and 50%, between the colors of the KT and between the bandages. In conclusion, KT has not been able to increase or decrease the electromyographic activity as well as the rigid bandage. Furthermore, the temperature of the rectus femoris muscle has undergone changes in relation to the variables that were studied before, during and after the physical exercise.application/pdfAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/ReabilitaçãoFita atléticaMúsculo quadrícepsCIENCIAS DA SAUDE::FISIOTERAPIA E TERAPIA OCUPACIONALA influência da kinesiotaping na atividade eletromiográfica e na temperatura do reto da coxaDissertaçãoIunes, Denise Hollanda
