At first, it seeks to analyze how the bibliographic references indicate possible contributions of choral singing to people's lives. For that, we bring definitions and considerations about collective singing practices, education, non-formal education and human formation. Next, the focus is the identification of some anthropological and cultural aspects that act in choral singing linked to education. Dialogues were evidenced from the perspective of cultural formation, relating education, anthropology and ethnomusicology. Finally, the objective was to reflect on how non-formal education contributes to the integral formation of the human being, focusing on choral practices as a unique training instrument.
