Dissertação (Mestrado em Química) - Universidade Federal de Alfenas, Alfenas, MG, 2016.https://repositorio.unifal-mg.edu.br/handle/123456789/817The liquid equilibrium behaviors of ATPS which is formed by chloride 1-butyl-3- methylimidazolium [C4mim]Cl + potassium carbonate (K2CO3) and potassium citrate (C6H5K3O7) + water through the temperature grades of 10,0, 20,0, 25,0, 35,0 and 40,0ºC were determined by experiment. The temperature and inorganic anion effects could be evaluated as from the phase separation through the binodal curve achievement and by five lines of system mooring according to diagrams composed by ionic liquids. As the temperature decreased so the two-phase site expanded for both systems, giving them some exothermic features and showing salt K2CO3 as a better former of ATPS than C6H5K3O7. After obtaining the experimental diagrams to different ATPS, the results were adjusted to empirical equations in order for obtaining better comprehension and these systems’ physical and chemical behavior control.
