Situations like living away from home, proximity to tests, delivery time of works and even the relationship between the teacher and the student, can generate anxiety and fear in the graduation. In this qualitative research was adopted the study strategy of a series of cases, the objective is to elaborate the statements of diagnostics, interventions and results of nursing personnel about the fear in students of a public university. The selection of the participants of the research was held through the sampling for convenience. Forty-one regularly enrolled students in the third period of the school first half of the year in 2004 participated of this study, students of the graduate in Nursing course, Pharmacy course, Physiotherapy course and Dentistry course. The diagnostics, the interventions and the results of the Nursing course have been set out according to the International Classification for Nursing Practice – CIPE® 2.0 version. It was found as result that the anxiety diagnostics was identified for 70.7% (n=29) of the students. For the severity classification, 44.9% (n=13) of the students showed soft anxiety, 48.2% (n=14) moderate anxiety and 6.9% (n=2) rigorous anxiety. The fear diagnostic was identified in 65.9%(n=27) of the university students. Thirty-one interventions and one Nursing result were established to anxiety and other to fear. The establishment of Nursing interventions represents the proposals of driving for a healthy academic life in the context of university, which assumes the interdisciplinary acting.
