The aim is to analyze whether the life trajectory of these adolescents in co n flict w ith the law, sent to fulfill socio educational measures, shows the absence of protection by either their families or the State. The met hod used in this study was field research, with a quantitative and qualitative approach. In the qualitative resea r ch, we applied semi structured interviews to the teenagers, their families and the team responsible for implementing socio educational measure s, as well as a focus group with socio educational counselors. For the quantitative research, we collected data from individual records and Individual Care Plans (PIA) from the Social Protection Service for Teenagers under Socio Educational Measures of Ass isted Freedom (LA) and Community Services Provision (PSC) database, in the Specialized Welfare Reference Center (Creas) of Varginha, Brazil research locus. The data demonstrated the fragility of the bonds established by the teenagers under socio educatio nal measures, which leads to the conclusion that there are unprotective aspects in the relationships experienced b y these adolescents, which means that only the fulfillment of socio educational measures is not enough to reestablish such bonds, providing th ose young people with a life trajectory whose conjuncture is favorably protective.application/pdfAcesso RestritoAdolescente em conflito com a lei.
