Therefore, actions aimed at controlling this depletion of natural resources bring benefits to the entire planet. The concern with actions aimed at sustainable development has been taking great place in industrial actions. Industries that seek to focus on sustainability have been searching for ways and changes in their actions, bringing positive long-term effects to both industry and all parties involved. The inclusion of sustainable practices in industrial concerns and decisions may become essential for the maintenance of future business in the coming decades and are essential to the future of the common good of mankind. From the point of view of sustainability, this dissertation has the initial objective of selecting the sustainable practices present in the different industrial sectors and more specifically in the food sector, through a Systematic Review of the Literature of 44 academic articles, it was possible to identify, analyze and synthesize empirical findings reported in studies on sustainable practices in the industrial context focused on the social, economic and environmental focus. In the synthesis of the articles included resulted in a selection of different sustainable practices, among the most cited: reuse and recycling, waste management, community and philanthropic relations, stakeholder management, ecodesign, policies for purchasing organic products.
