Dissertação (Mestrado em Enfermagem) - Universidade Federal de Alfenas, Alfenas, MG, 2020.https://repositorio.unifal-mg.edu.br/handle/123456789/1541People Management is the set of activities of specialists and managers that aim to provide competencies and competitiveness to the organization. It is relevant to verify if nursing managers are attentive to their participation in the people management processes, as managers active in these processes, observe the traces left by their team and are able to translate them into information for decision making. This is a quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study, of the Survey type. In order to analyze the participation of nursing managers in people management processes, to know the profile of nursing managers in the Brazilian scenario and to describe the people management tools used by nurse managers in the health establishments in which they work. A sample of 385 nurses or nurses working as nursing managers in health facilities in Brazil was constituted. The data collection period was between July 2018 and April 2019, and it took 10 months to receive 385 completely completed questionnaires. It was decided to end the receipt of responses on the last day of April, resulting in 414 answered questionnaires, which integrated the study sample. Data collection started after approval by the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG) under CAAE number: 91351518.9.0000.5142 and opinion number: 2,773,753 (July 17, 2018). As a research instrument, a semi-structured questionnaire was made available on an online platform. There was a predominance of female participants, married or living with a partner, aged between 30 to 39 years, self-declared race / color white, specialists, with gross monthly salary between R$ 3,000 to R$ 3,999, working between 31 to 40 weekly hours, led up to 10 nursing staff and worked in public or private hospitals. Nursing managers responded that they had little participation in the people management processes, with greater participation in the processes of developing people and applying people. The main strategies pointed out for people management were: team training, team meetings and internal recruitment. We highlight the frequent need for professional qualification as a strategy to increase autonomy in people management processes. Finally, nursing managers must know the processes that involve people management in order to become participatory agents reaching space in organizations, particularly in people management.application/pdfAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Gestão de PessoasEnfermagemGerenciamentoInequéritos e QuestionáriosCIENCIAS DA SAUDE::ENFERMAGEMParticipação dos gestores de enfermagem na gestão de pessoas: um estudo do tipo surveyDissertaçãoMartinez, Maria Regina
