Dissertação (Mestrado em Enfermagem) - Universidade Federal de Alfenas, Alfenas, MG, 2024.https://repositorio.unifal-mg.edu.br/handle/123456789/2838The number of surgeries has been increasing globally, which raises the demand for new technologies to meet this need. Moreover, nursing professionals must continuously update their skills to address challenges and requirements, ensuring continuity and efficiency in care. This study aims to map the scientific evidence regarding the role of nursing professionals in robotic surgical procedures. It is a scoping review conducted according to the JBI Collaboration methodology, with searches performed in six international databases and gray literature, without language or time restrictions. To address the research question, the descriptors "Perioperative Nursing," "Nurse's Role," and "Robotic Surgical Procedures" were used, and their alternative terms were combined using the Boolean operators AND and OR. A total of 2,036 studies were retrieved from the databases and exported to the Endnote Online reference manager, where duplicates were excluded. Subsequently, the studies were transferred to the Rayyan software for the selection of eligible works. After the selection process, the sample consisted of 24 studies, whose data were extracted using a guide developed by the authors of this study. The results show that the role of nursing in robotic surgeries involves various responsibilities, including the planning and coordination of procedures, the need to acquire specific technical and scientific knowledge, and the development of competencies to handle the robot and its functions in collaboration with surgeons, ensuring patient safety. Among the challenges faced are team training for robotic surgeries, the need to implement cost-reduction strategies, and overcoming difficulties related to the adoption of this technology. In conclusion, nursing plays a critical role in robotic surgeries, standing out for its involvement in all stages of the procedure and the requirement for technical skills and continuous training. Technological advancements have contributed to making surgical procedures safer and more efficient, and nursing plays a fundamental role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of these processes.application/pdfAcesso AbertoEnfermagemCirurgiaRobóticaCIENCIAS DA SAUDE::ENFERMAGEMPapel do profissional de enfermagem em procedimentos cirúrgicos robó2cos: revisão de escopoDissertaçãoCosta, Andreia Cristina Barbosa
